After a rain delay totaling two hours and fifteen minutes, the Cincinnati Bearcats tied the Michigan State Spartans 0-0 at Gettler Stadium Sunday afternoon. The Match, originally scheduled for 1pm, got pushed back to a 2pm kickoff. However, at the 23rd minute, lightning struck nearby and would send the game into a one hour and fifteen-minute rain delay.
The game resumed at about 3pm, the Bearcats started with the ball at the 23rd minute, and would play until the regularly scheduled 45th minute, and have an 8-minute halftime.
The game would go on as a stalemate between the teams, both teams coming inches away from scoring the first points of the game. Bearcat Keeper Anna Rexford would come up huge in the second half, coming up with some big one on one saves late in the game.
