What to Watch on Netflix – Little Evil Review

By Tyneshia Daniel · On September 21, 2017

What would you do if you found out that your stepson might be the Antichrist? Little Evil is a thriller-comedy about a new kind of family. It is exactly what you’d expect, but something you can’t prepare for.

In this movie, Adam Scott plays Gary, a realtor who just married the woman of his dreams, Samantha, played by Evangeline Lilly. Samantha has a son, Lucas, who has never taken too kindly to the men in Samantha’s life. Gary, on the other hand, plans to be the best husband and father he can be, provided everything around him doesn’t suspiciously go up in flames.

The film is filled with twists, turns, and comedy around every corner. It was the perfect type of comedy to me – one that is random but doesn’t seem like it’s trying too hard. In terms of the plot, writing, and acting, this film fares at a rating of 6. It’s a simple plot with decent acting, but nothing outstanding. I’m giving it the extra .3 for the creative combination of comedy and thrills. Netflix did a pretty good job with this one.
