People all over social media platforms are asking and wondering where to find Ariana Grande’s therapist after listening to her new hit single “thank u, next”.

Ariana bluntly tells us through the lyrics of the song that she is moving on from recent ex Pete Davidson, and is grateful to be doing so. She actually names the names of her exes in the song (Davidson, Ricky Alvarez, Big Sean, and Mac Miller). “thank u, next” is not the typical break up “diss” song though. Ariana doesn’t seem to be trying to condemn her exes and is instead saying she’s simply done dwelling on them and wants to move on. The song encourages all women to be thankful and focus on what you learned and how you grew from your past relationships rather than being bitter. It’s certainly refreshing to see a new kind of breakup song, different than the ones from Taylor Swift.

“thank u, next” also touches on self-love shown through the lyrics, “I know they say I move on too fast, but this one gon’ last, ‘cause her name is Ari, and I’m so good with that.” The singer owns up to her recurrent dating and sends a message that she is also OK being alone. The honesty of her lyrics is commending and gave me a whole new respect for Ariana. Plus, the song not only spreads a good message, but it’s also very catchy.
