After a 0-0 draw last week in Orlando, FC Cincinnati got back in the win column on Saturday after a statement 1- 0 victory over the Seattle Sounders.
This was another match where FC Cincinnati was able to largely dictate the run of play by possessing the ball and creating chances. Unlike last week, however, they were able to capitalize off of it with Brenner’s 63rd-minute goal, his first of the season. The defense also played another outstanding game and they were able to weather the attacking storm from Seattle down a man after Nick Hagglund’s 83rd-minute red card.
The midfield was another highlight of this game, with Obinna Nwobodo earning MLS Team of the Matchday honors for his efforts, for the second time this season. Other standout players included Yerson Mosquera, who is quickly becoming a fan favorite, and Ray Gaddis, who had a solid game at right wing-back filling in for Arias again.
FC Cincinnati looks to continue its undefeated season on Saturday when they take on the Chicago Fire at Soldier Field.
