FC Cincinnati defeated Nashville SC 1-0 on the road last Saturday to remain undefeated on the season. After 5 games, the Orange and Blue now sit at 11 points on the season, placing them second in the Eastern Conference and third in the overall Supporter’s Shield standings.

It was a hard-fought match between the two sides, with six players seeing yellow cards. Malik Pinto, formerly of the FC Cincinnati Academy and Princeton University, made his first MLS start, filling in for Junior Moreno while he’s away on national team duty with Venezuela. Nick Hagglund also made his return to the starting lineup after serving out his suspension from the red card he picked up in the Seattle game. The game’s lone goal came from Brandon Vazquez in the 48th minute, his first of the season. Roman Celentano made three saves to keep the clean sheet, his third of the season.

FC Cincinnati is back home this weekend to take on Inter Miami CF at TQL Stadium this Saturday. Kick-off is at 7:30 pm.
