FC Cincinnati stays undefeated through six games after their 1-0 victory over Inter Miami CF on Saturday. This win puts the Orange and Blue at the top of the Eastern Conference and only one point behind St. Louis, who leads the overall Supporters’ Shield standings.

Cincinnati was able to remain solid defensively even without Obinna Nwobodo, who was left out of the game-day roster due to a hamstring injury. Marco Angulo got the start in his place and Junior Moreno returned to the starting lineup after being away on international duty last match. Outside of that, the lineup remained unchanged. The lone goal in this match came from Yerson Mosquera, his first of the season, a header off of a corner kick during stoppage time of the first half.

Miami dominated possession and was set to open the scoring when they were awarded a penalty in the 35th minute, which got overturned by VAR due to the foul occurring outside the box. Roman Celentano was forced to make three saves to keep the clean sheet, his fourth of the year, against a Miami side that looked dangerous for most of the match.

This was also a milestone match for three Cincinnati players. Roman Celentano recorded his 100th career save, while Nick Hagglund made his 100th career appearance for FCC across all competitions. MLS veteran Ray Gaddis made his 250th MLS appearance.

The Orange and Blue are back home again next week to take on last year’s Eastern Conference champs, the Philadelphia Union (2-3-1). Kick-off is at 7:30 pm on Saturday and as always you can catch the match on the MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
