In honor of National Ice Cream Cone Day on September 22nd, I decided to try one of Clifton’s staple ice cream spots: Carvel Ice Cream. While only being open for 2 years, it has become a hub for University of Cincinnati students and the Clifton community to grab a cold treat on a hot summer day.

Even though summer is ending, Carvel has a few fall-themed desserts for customers to try. Some of their fall favorites are the Pumpkin Cheesecake soft serve, Pumpkin Cheesecake scooped, Flying Saucer Pumpkin cheesecake, and more. Additionally, Carvel includes dairy-free sorbet options such as Raspberry, Pink Grapefruit, Orange Tangerine, and Lemonade sorbet.

Since Auntie Anne’s Pretzels and Cinnabon happen to share the same location, this makes Carvel a prime target for whenever Clifton residents or UC students need a good late-night snack for studying or a nice cheat day meal. Be sure to check out Carvel Ice Cream on Calhoun Street!
