The red-hot Cincinnati Bearcats extended their win streak to six wins after beating EKU on Wednesday.  The Bearcats now have a 7-6 record on the season and the Colonels fell to 4-9.  The ‘Cats rallied past the Colonels with a huge seven-run eighth inning, leading to a 10-5 victory for the Bearcats.  The Bearcats were led by Alec Jones and Kerrington Cross on the day.  Cross had two hits including a home run.  Jones had two hits and one RBI on the day.  The winning pitcher from the Bearcats was Zach Segal (2-0) and the pitcher credited with the loss from EKU was Joe Clancy (0-2).

The Bearcats are going to be tested this weekend against the Wofford Terriers.  The Bearcats will head down to Spartanburg for a three-game series against the Terriers starting on Friday.  Wofford enters the weekend with a 12-1 record and on a twelve-game win streak.  The Terriers are led by Senior Ryan Galanie.  Galanie is a product of Archbishop Moeller High School.  So far, Galanie has a .460 batting average with 23 hits including four doubles and two home runs.  Look for Pitching Coach, JD Heilmann, and the Bearcats’ arm barn to try and limit Galanie’s impact throughout the series.

As far as starting pitching goes,  AAC pitcher of the week Dylan Brosky will toe the slab for the Bearcats on Friday.  The Bearcats will then send out the Freshman Chase Horst on Saturday and Chase Hopewell will close out the series on Sunday.  The Terriers’ starting pitchers for this weekend are Coulson Buchanan, Charlie Weber, and Matthew Marchal.  Game one will start at 5:30 and will be available to watch on ESPN+.
