“So what does Mad Anthony play exactly? From its volume and breakneck vigor, it’s Punk, pure and simple, but there is so much more at work here. Vocalist/guitarist Ringo Jones is like Iggy Pop channeling the spirit of Mississippi John Hurt in a Dead Boys tribute, screaming until the veins in his neck stand out like bridge cable under his skin. When Jones and guitarist/vocalist Adam Flaig start trading riffs, there’s a galloping rhythm that suggests Dave Alvin in his seminal Blasters days with a live power line down his trousers. And the rhythm section of power bassist Dave Markey and new drummer Marc Sherlock is thunder personified… If you see the name Mad Anthony on a telephone pole, get the information and get there. It will change you. ” – Brian Baker, CityBeat

After being good friends in middle school, Evan Wagner and Austin Tracy went their separate ways in high school. In what seems to have been an act of fate, they ran into each other at a Tame Impala show in Louisville six years later. They began writing and eventually recruited Kyle Stone from Austin’s other band Wendy’s Yellow Poncho. Given the opportunity to work with Shiraz Dada of Maps and Atlases, they headed to Chicago in March of 2014 to record their debut, the culmination of a year of writing. Since then, they have toured the midwest and played in the greater Cincinnati area extensively. Creating a massive sound with only three instruments, Orchards blend psychedelia with hard rock and add a bit of indie pop to the mix. Fuzzy, swirling guitars create a canyon thats filled by unpredictable, mesmerizing bass and flying drums that crush any sort of doubt in their power. Orchards have frequently been compared to Tame Impala, Led Zeppelin, Ty Segall, Wand and Wolfmother, the latter comparison being worded as “Its like Wolfmother but not stupid.”. Citybeat said that Orchards are like, “Blue cheer if they had been steered by the Beatles and the Beach Boys.” After 2015 saw the band perform on Fountain Square, tour the northeast and play Midpoint Music festival, 2016 is shaping up to be even bigger and will bring the release of their self titled debut album on Old Flame Records.

Season Ten is from Southgate, the second smallest city in Kentucky. Being just south of the Ohio River, our sound serves a unique blend of multiple rock genres, but we classify ourselves as Alternative Synth Rock, similar to The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys with Tame Impala twist. We believe we have something great to show the world: A well-developed, new alternative rock sound that still manages to make you want to dance to the enormous energy and grab the good vibes.
