Harry Potter Film Concert

By Molly Henderson · On November 3, 2017

Announcement to all wizards, muggles, witches, squibs, and all the magical creatures alike. There is something magical coming right here in the Cincinnati area. Specifically to all the Harry Potter fans, I have an event that would be better than drinking butterbeer. I know, it sounds crazy, but there is another Harry Potter experience for all the die hard fans or new beginners to the group. Now, there is not going to be another movie or book written, but it is something unique. It is a special concert of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

When I first heard about this event, I was a little confused as to what exactly it meant. A concert? How were they going to do a concert for the first Harry Potter movie? I did some research and figured out the scoop behind the event. There will be a live orchestra playing the score for the first movie, while some scenes from the first movie will be playing. Instead of watching the movie with the famous scores in the background, you will experience the music live and in person while watching some great scenes from the movie. The Cincinnati Pops with conductor, Justin Freer, will be playing the original score by John Williams. The movie will also be shown on a high definition, large screen.

One of the reasons they are putting on this concert, is that the first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, came out on November 16, 2001.  This is the movie’s 15 year anniversary of its release. What better way to celebrate it than coming up with a new way to experience watching the movie!

This Harry Potter film concert is visiting many different cities, but it is stopping in Cincinnati at the newly renovated Music Hall. The dates for the concert are December 28, 2017 at 7:30 PM, December 29, 2017 at 7:30 PM, and finally December 30, 2017 at 7:00 PM. Depending on where you pick your seat, the price for the tickets can range from $25.00 to around $105.00.

If you think this sounds like a great experience and are wanting more, don’t get your robe in a twist, because there is more good news. This is only the first installment. They are already starting to tour the second movie, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in concert. Be prepared for potentially 7 or 8 new Harry Potter concert experiences! So what are you waiting for? Jump on your broomsticks and fly on over to Music Hall for an unforgettable night! For more information or to purchase tickets click here.
