I don’t know about you, but I’m a little hooked on Gilmore Girls. I never watched it growing up, but always saw it on television. It wasn’t until the recent buzz about a Gilmore Girls revival that I became interested in even watching the show. I’ve heard people talk about it, even rave about it. However, it wasn’t until I saw the gigantic line at the pop-up Luke’s Diner that went down Short Vine that I thought I’d check it out.
I recently started watching and I’m a little addicted. I had no idea that the show was so funny. I find the dry humor hilarious and the relationship between Rory and her mom, Lorelai, charming and relatable. For any daughter that is close to her mother, they can probably relate.
The town they live in is quite charming and makes me wish I lived in a small town. It also makes me crave diner food every time I watch. I adore their small town relationships and how close everyone is. Of course this all comes with cons like everyone knowing your business.
This show is unique and original. I have never seen another show like it and have found it to be a very relatable and funny show. If you have never watched it or thought about watching it, I recommend checking out a few episodes. I guarantee you’ll be hooked.
So far, I am only in season 2 out of 7 seasons. I have a long way to go and will definitely not be finished by the time the revival hits Netflix November 25th, but for all you fans that have watched every episode of every season (maybe even multiple times), November 25th can’t come soon enough.
Until then, we all must wait patiently to see what’s new with the Gilmore girls.
